Having this information will allow you to get content ideas and challenge you to write more in depth and inciteful articles.
3. Write on medium
Medium is an online publishing platform where people and brands can post blog posts with basic HTML and CSS editing and styling.
The platform has also created a community of publishers who can follow, engage with, and promote others’ posts.
4. Guest Blogging
Guest posting works two ways: You can submit your articles to other websites and receive requests from other bloggers to post their articles.
Search for popular publications and blogs in your niche. Find sites that have an active and engaged audience. Also websites that have a large social media following.

A weekly podcast can be a traffic generation tool. You can start your own or connect with an influencer and offer giveaways in exchange for promotion time.
6. Start a Youtube channel
You can use Youtube as one of the best ways to grow blog traffic. Create videos and put links in the description to your website.
You can partner with other Youtuber’s and get them to promote your website.
If you are new to Youtube you will want to reach out to other Youtuber’s with large audiences and offer your affiliate product to them.
They can sign up and begin promoting your service or product.
7. Use social share buttons
Add social share buttons to shareable pages like blog posts, product pages and images, and other website content.
These social share buttons make it easy for users to post your content (with links!), giving you social proof and traffic.
Every blogger has there favorite and my favorite social share buttons are Warfare Plugins.
They make it easy to share to social with large prominent icons you can add to your post.

8. Facebook Groups
Facebook Groups have become particularly popular as of late, and ecommerce brands are tapping into the opportunity to get involved in thriving online communities.
Search for groups relevant to your niche, follow the group’s thread and participate with comments, advice, or helpful info. Do be spammy and post links. Relationships first, traffic second.
Some Facebook Groups have promotional days where you can promote your links. Just followthe instruction given by the group admin.
Social Media to Increase Blog Traffic
Pinterest is one of the best ways to grow blog traffic. By pinning your products and blog content multiple times a week, you can see an increase in your traffic.
All it takes is for one pin to go viral to get an endless stream of traffic to your website.
You can create multiple images per blog post. Some images perform better than others giving you a model to follow for creating future pin images.
You will need to have a well optimized Pinterest profile, use keywords to help Pinterest understand your profile, and include a keyword rich description in your pins images.
Here’s my Pinterest profiles as an example. You can find/follow me at https://pinterest.com/Blogtips1
If you’re website/blog is new, Twitter is a great platform for experimenting.
With the help of relevant hashtags, you could reach an audience bigger than your follower count.
Using the click to retweet feature in your articles can help you get more exposure on Twitter.
Make sure to use hashtags so your original tweet to gets more visibility.
As a result, more eyes end up on the tweet, and you’ll get a higher click through rate to your website. If you are in to Twitter you can find/follow my profile https://twitter.com/getblogtips
With Instagram’s swipe up feature you can take advantage of adding links for marketing to you followers.
If you don’t have the swipe of feature you can still be creative with your bio.

12. Drive traffic to your website from forums
Forums are online communities where people ask questions and have discussions about any given topic.
Reddit, Quora, and Yahoo Answers are a few of the more popular and well-known forums — there are discussions, groups, and threads about almost every topic you can think of.
In forum’s you want to establish credibility. One way to do this would be to add value. Try building relationships in the forum, then adding your links can be possible.
To get a targeted audience make sure to find forum’s in your niche
13. Email marketing
Building a list for email marketing can take a long time, so it’s important to start from day one. One of the best parts of an email list is that its yours.
With social media you can have lots of followers and a algorithm change happens and your reach drops.
Or worse the social media channel makes changes to the platform. Because you don’t own those followers your reach suffers.
Having your own email list proves to be a much more stable way to interact with your community of readers.
I use Mailerlite to create opt-in forms through out my blog. You can start a free account with Mailerlite and the account is free up to your first 1,000 subscribers.
That’s a pretty big list to have for free.

14. Blog Commenting
There’s also the option of using blog comments as a way to generate traffic to your site.
By leaving comments on relevant industry blogs, you’ll gain more conversions and visibility as a result – not merely visitors.
It’s a good idea to not comment on competitor blogs. This is generally out of respect.
Make sure your comments add value to the discussion. Definitely more than a “hey great post” or “nice website”.
Go deep especially when you have lots of knowledge on the subject. This can be a big win for generating traffic.
This shows your expertise in the given niche and will encourage someone reading to click on your name and be taken through to your site.
Driving traffic to your website will make the difference in the success or failure a blogger will experience.
Its important to work hard, be creative, and search for ways to constantly promote your brand.
Once you have an established presence on the internet momentum can kick in and create a traffic tsunami.
Now its your turn
