You will need to work on SEO so that you have a chance to be ranked in search. Using search to drive traffic can take time.

You can use sites like Ubersuggest to learn what your competitors best ranking content is.

Search for groups relevant to your niche, follow the group’s thread and participate with comments, advice, or helpful info. Do be spammy and post links. Relationships first, traffic second.

Some Facebook Groups have promotional days where you can promote your links. Just followthe instruction given by the group admin.

Pinterest is one of the best ways to grow blog traffic. By pinning your products and blog content multiple times a week, you can see an increase in your traffic.

All it takes is for one pin to go viral to get an endless stream of traffic to your website.

You can create multiple images per blog post. Some images perform better than others giving you a model to follow for creating future pin images.

You will need to have a well optimized Pinterest profile, use keywords to help Pinterest understand your profile, and include a keyword rich description in your pins images.

If you’re website/blog is new, Twitter is a great platform for experimenting.

With the help of relevant hashtags, you could reach an audience bigger than your follower count.

Using the click to retweet feature in your articles can help you get more exposure on Twitter.

Make sure to use hashtags so your original tweet to gets more visibility.

Make sure your comments add value to the discussion. Definitely more than a “hey great post” or “nice website”.

  1. I’m currently trying to increase my traffic through pinterest. I tried using medium but posting all my content but for some reason nobody would ever read my posts. I was discouraged and deleted the app. I really think Pinterest will help though so I am focusing on that this week.

    1. Good move Daynia shifting some focus to Pinterest. The platform is really good for growth and traffic. I have found some great courses both free and paid that have helped me.

  2. Great article this is something I will be referencing a lot. There is so many ways to get traffic but I think it’s important to focus on one at a time. Otherwise, it gets too overwhelming. Also, have you been having any issues with Pinterest now that the algorithm as changed?

    1. Hey Philip I struggle with being overwhelmed (deer in headlights) so I need to keep things written out so I can step back and adjust. I had another blog with a Pinterest profile in 2019 and I will say that the algorithm changes are working for me. I’m using a new Pinterest account and my engagements and clicks are up
